My other passion is Eyelash Extensions, and over the years they have come a long way. With the introduction of strong adhesive glues and quality mink/silk lashes its now easy to produce a beautiful set of natural looking lashes that will look and feel like your own. Many ladies belive that they will leave looking like Daisy the cow or that their lashes will look clumpy, thick, too long and ugly - this is not the case. Just take a look at my gallery to see for yourself. How are they applied? Individual faux / mink lashes are applied to each and everyone of your own lashes, so each eye can have from 100-200 false lashes applied (depending on how many natural lashes you have). You will be asked to lie down on my beauty couch for 1hr15mins -1hr30mins, gel pads are applied to cover your bottom lashes, whilst I apply the individual lashes to your own with your eyes closed. It is a very relaxing treatment and many of my ladies fall asleep. Will they damage my own lashes? These lashes will not damage your own, in fact I find that my clients lashes grow thicker and longer. This is because you will not need to take your mascara off every day as before - and when we remove our eye makeup we tend to rub the lashes, which then damages them and pulls them out. Will I still need to wear Mascara? With individual eyelash extensions you will not need to wear mascara, just a gentle brush and sepertaion of them in the morning and thats it. Do they feel heavy? You should not be able to feel your lashes, they should look and feel just like your own. They are also waterproof so you can swim, shower and get caught in the rain without those nasty panda eyes. Can I choose my own look? The other great thing about these lashes is that there are numerous lengths, thicknesses and curls to choose from to suit everybody. A consultation is performed at the start of every lash treatment to discuss the look you would like to achieve and recommendations for your eye shape. It is important that this is done so that the correct lash is suited to the client and the best result achieved. How long do they last? Once applied these lashes will last the life span of your natural lash (can be 6-8 weeks) however because your eyelashes grown and shed, to keep them looking full we suggest infills every 2-4 weeks. Old lashes that have started to grow out will be removed and new lashes applied, leaving you with a thick full set once again. How are they removed? These lashes MUST be removed by a professional. Do not attempt to remove them yoursleves as you will damage your own natural lashes. Do I need a patch test before the treatment? The glue used sits on the natural lash and never comes into contact with the skin, so no patch test is required. Do I need to have them fully removed after a while and a full set re-applied If infills are done correctly then there is no need for a new full set as old lashes are removed and gaps replaced with new ones. So you can continue just to have infills, however some clients prefer to have a full new set applied after a few months. Are they hard to look after? Like most things, to keep them looking nice takes a little care. Do not pick or pull at the lashes as this will cause them to break and fall out. Do not rub them or get any oil based product near the glue as this will casue the glue to break down. With a tooth pick or pointed tweeers gently seperate the lashes every morning or give them a little brush with the wand I will provide you with. Do not sleep on your face, this will casue the lashes to become damaged and they may fall out. Follow this simple aftercare advice and your lashes will stay looking beautiful. So how much do they cost? Individual Eyelash Extensions prices can range from £50-£100, all depending on the quality of lashes used, the lash technicians qualifications and the Salon you go to. Lash Technicians are skillful therapsits, trained to a high standard to perform the intricate treatment of applying false lashes to your own. It is therefore important that you trust your lash technician and can see examples of their work before the treatment is performed.
My lashes are currently on offer: Full Set of Individual Eyelash Extensions Was £60 Now only£40 Infills £20 I have seen them being offered for £20 in my local salon. Be very careful - some salons are actually offering cluster/party or flare lashes but advertising them as Individual eyelash extensions. Please do your research - if it seems tto good to be true, then it probably is. Remember : " Cheap lashes arn't nice, Nice lashes arn't cheap"
